
Decyl glucoside is a plant-derived polyglycoside made by reacting glucose with decanol, a coconut derivative.

Decyl glucoside is a mild surfactant, and because it does not dry out the skin, it is ideal for formulations of personal care products such as cleansers, body washes, shampoos, hand sanitizers, hair colorants, sunscreen products, exfoliants, and bubble baths.

As a surfactant, decyl glucoside has the following advantages:
