Background and Overview
Pharmaceutical grade Vitamin C (Vitamin C), also known as L ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble Vitamin. Vitamin C can participate in amino acid metabolism, synthesis of neurotransmitters, synthesis of collagen and interstitial tissue cells, reduce the permeability of capillaries, accelerate the coagulation of blood, stimulate the coagulation function, promote the absorption of iron in the intestine, promote the decline of blood lipids, increase the body's resistance to infection, and participate in the detoxification function. And the action that has antihistamine and prevent carcinogen (subnitrosamine) generation action. Can be used for the prevention and treatment of scurvy and all kinds of acute and chronic infectious diseases and purpura, large dose of intravenous injection for keshan disease, timely rescue of cardiogenic shock, can also be used for chronic iron poisoning, idiopathic hypersideremia red egg leukemia treatment.

The preparation methods
Methods 1.
Step 1: Add 20L sterile 70-75% ethanol aqueous solution and 75L water for injection into the feeding pot, turn on the stirring, and heat to 40-45 ℃. Weigh 50Kg crude vitamin C and put it into the feeding pot, then slowly put 15Kg anhydrous sodium carbonate into it, stir until it is completely dissolved, then add 30gEDTA and 1.0kg activated carbon powder, and decolorize for 15-30 minutes. The solution was filtered, pumped into the storage tank, and then filtered aseptically through 0.22μm filter membrane, pressed into the crystal pot in the clean area.
Step 2: Start the crystallization pot and stir. Heat the water bath to 40 ~ 50℃ and keep it warm. Drop 40L anhydrous ethanol, add seed crystal after dropping, then drop 260L anhydrous ethanol, continue to stir for 15-30 minutes after dropping. The crystallizing pot was cooled to 5~15℃, and the crystals were kept for 2~3 hours. Add 10Kg sterile vitamin C API and stir for 5-10 minutes.
Step 3: Filter the mixed liquid to get vitamin C and vitamin C sodium crystals, soak the crystals in 100L anhydrous ethanol for 5-10 min, then drain and filter, and dry them in the oven for 10 hours. After cooling the oven, the crystallization was sieved into aluminum barrel through 30 mesh to get vitamin C and vitamin sodium aseptic API.
Method 2,
A method for preparing vitamin C is characterized in that the method includes the following steps:
Step 1: acidification: according to the weight ratio of sodium vitamin C and water of 1∶ 0.341-0.894 to prepare sodium vitamin C aqueous solution, sodium vitamin C aqueous solution in the stirred state adding hydrochloric acid or through HCl gas, VcNa: HCl according to the weight ratio of 1∶ 0.175-0.215, make it fully react, get acid solution. In the acid solution, add activated carbon, ratio of 1L acid solution to add 2 ~ 10g activated carbon, and then heating to 65 ~ 70℃ decolorization and heat preservation filtration, the generation of purified acid solution;
Step 2, separation: step 1 of the acid solution stirring while cooling, acid solution cooling to -5 ~ 5℃, and keep 1 ~ 3 hours, so that vitamin C precipitation from the acid solution, filter the crude vitamin C and vitamin C precipitation after the acid solution;
Step 3, in addition to salt: take the step 2 mentioned raw precipitation after vitamin C acid solution, the stress concentration to the amount of vitamin C containing in 50 ~ 60%, the vitamin C in 65 ~ 70 ℃ temperature nearly saturated, the temperature control in 65 ~ 70 ℃ heat preservation filter, get the filtrate, filter to remove sodium chloride, sodium chloride after washing drying becomes food-grade salt;
Step 4. Recycling: The filtrate described in Step 3 is cooled to -5 ~ 5℃ and kept for 2 ~ 10 hours to crystallize and filter to get recycled crude vitamin C;
Step 5. Refining: The crude vitamin C and the recycled vitamin C obtained in step 2 and 4 are dissolved in unsalted water, then decolorized and filtered, cooled, crystallized, separated and dried to get the finished vitamin C.
