Sodium Lukast was cut off by C-S to obtain mercaptan side chain 2-(1-mercaptomethyl cyclopropyl) methyl acetate 163 and substituted quinoline 162. The former mercaptan was converted into methyl acetate 164, and the carboxylic acid group was converted from cyanide group to cut off cyanide group to obtain chloride 166, which was converted into hydroxyl group and then into formate 168. Substituted quinoline 162 has a tertiary alcohol structure with two methyl groups, and the two methyl groups are severed at the same time to obtain formate 169, and the benzyl hydroxyl group can be converted into ketone 170. Methyl o-bromobenzoate and allyl alcohol 171 were cut off from ketone 170. Allyl alcohol 171 was cut off by the best reaction mechanism of alcohol to get aldehyde 172. The double bond in aldehyde 172 was cut off to form methylquinoline 173 and m-phenyldiformaldehyde 174.
